ORIGIN NYE 2017

Origin NYE began in 2007 as a New Year music festival held at Belvoir Amphitheatre. Ten years later, Origin NYE has consolidated itself as Perth’s premier NYE event.

CLAREMONT SHOWGROUND

Origin NYE returns to Claremont Showground, Western Australia again in 2017.

With its rolling greens, iconic amphitheatre and larger capacity, this iconic arena in Perth is the ultimate space for Origin NYE. On December 31, we’ll be inviting thousands of festival goers alongside a world-class line-up to Origin NYE 2017.

GETTING THERE

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Claremont Showground is the only venue in Perth which has its own a dedicated train station at its doorstep, this user friendly public transport system linking patrons with Perth and Fremantle within a few minutes. Additional trains and carriages will be used for Origin NYE 2017.

Your ticket to the festival includes travel on any Transperth service for three hours before, during and three hours after the event, or until end of service. Just show your ticket on the way to Claremont Showgrounds, and your writstband on the way home.

The easiest way to get to Claremont Showground is by catching a Fremantle Line train to Showgrounds Station. Trains will be stopping at Showgrounds Station from 2.30pm.
Trains

After the event, trains will run as follows:
· To Perth – Frequent special event trains will depart Showgrounds Station, the last train departs Showgrounds Station at 2.55am.
· To Fremantle – Frequent special event trains will depart Showgrounds Station, the last train departs Showgrounds Station at 2.28am.

Connecting trains on the Mandurah, Joondalup, Armadale and Midland lines will depart Perth/Perth Underground frequently until approximately 4am.Patrons are encouraged to

GETTING A LIFT

There will be road closures surrounding Claremont Showground which will only be accessible to residents. If you are being dropped off by a taxi, UBER or private vehicle, please use the Davies Road swimming pool car park.

If you’re booking an UBER from Claremont Showgrounds home, please book it from one of the designated drop off points as the road closures will mean the Showgrounds are not accessible to UBER drivers.

CAR PARKING

We strongly recommend catching the train or getting a lift. Please note there are road closures in place in the streets surrounding the venue. Plan ahead on where to park. Town of Claremont parking areas may be available to use subject to availability. Please take note of the local car parking signs and be cautious of where you park, as any illegal parking may incur a fine or your vehicle to be towed away.

Disabled parking will be available at a car park on Shenton Road close to the Gate 12 entrance. Access is via Shenton Road east of the Davies Road intersection. Please have your ACROD permit available.

PARTY BUSES

Please be aware that drinking on party buses is an offence. Police will be on patrol and will issue infringements to offenders.

If you are arriving by Party Bus, please note the buses will pick you up at the same location as drop off – on Shenton Road near the corner of Davies Road. Buses are not permitted to drop off in any other location.

BE SAFE

We want everyone to have an unforgettable time at Origin NYE and ask that you act responsibly and stay safe. Look out for your mates.

Full emergency services are present at the festival. Please make a note of the displayed on-site medical and emergency services and use them if you or a mate need assistance. Everybody is welcome to the medical tent for any reason and nobody will get in any trouble, or get hit with a bill

BE DRINKAWARE

If you consume too much alcohol you may not be able to remember your Origin NYE experience. Drink water in between alcohol and stay hydrated, we want you to remember your time with us.

FOOD OPTIONS

We have over 14+ food vendors at the festival supplying everything from tacos, burgers, salads, juices and more. There are a number of outlets providing vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and other options – ask at the stalls on the day.

Origin NYE at Claremont Showground is wheelchair accessible, however there may be some areas around the venue that could prove challenging to wheelchairs ie. grass flooring at the Base Tent.

Strobe and flashing lighting is used at the event. If you think this will cause issues, we advise you reconsider attending the festival

STAGE CAPACITY

Origin NYE Terminal stage in the Robinson Pavilion has a set capacity which cannot be exceeded. If you wish to see a specific artist you are advised to get there early as admittance cannot be guaranteed. Once an indoor stage reaches its capacity, a one-in one-out policy will apply. The Terminal stage will have bar access for patrons inside this stage area. No bathrooms are accessible inside the Terminal, yet are available nearby the entry/exit.

PHONE CHARGING

Don’t let a dead phone battery ruin your Origin NYE experience. You can charge your phone in your pocket with our Origin Power Banks available from the merchandise stage for $25.

LOST PROPERTY

Please hand in anything you might find to the Entry Gate or Bar Staff. Should you lose something at Origin NYE, visit the entry gate to see if its handed in or report it lost with your details and a description of the item. Origin NYE endeavours to announce lost property and post handed-in items after the event as best we can.

DEPOSIT TICKETS

Deposit Tickets are a payment option that allows you to pay your Origin NYE Ticket off in instalments, interest free. To access the payment plan, select this as your delivery option in Step 2 of your ticket purchase. You’ll be charged an instalment, then fortnightly payments as per the schedule of payments.

  1. Select Payment Plan at checkout
  2. Secure your ticket(s) with a deposit payment at checkout
  3. Ticketbooth will automatically deduct fortnightly instalments on the payment schedule.

DEPOSIT TICKET TERMS
By choosing the Origin NYE Deposit Ticket payment plan, you agree to pay all future instalments in accordance with the set payment dates.

If a payment fails, you’ll be emailed with a link to updated your billing information to make payment. Should you still fail to payment your instalments, these will accumulate in your invoice.

Your final payment at the close of the payment plan will be for whatever is still owed. Tickets will only be issued once full payment is made. Prior to this time, you can log into the Ticketbooth site to update your order information. Should you fail to make full payment for your payment plan, you may forfeit your ticket and any payments made.

Deposit tickets will not be refunded. Full ticket and entry terms & conditions apply.

2ND HAND TICKETS

If your ticket has not been purchased direct from Ticketbooth or a legitimate industry seller you are at risk of being denied entry as per ticket policy. Purchasing your ticket from a reseller does not guarantee an authentic ticket and you’ll be without recourse if you’re burned with fake/fraudulent tickets.

NAME CHANGES

Name changes are available by logging into your Ticketbooth account with your email used at time of purchase and password. There will be a $9.95 name change fee for Origin 2017 ticket holders. Please ensure you only click on the submit button ONCE and that you are updating the TICKET NAME and not the order name as this will not reflect on the ticket when completing a name change

ENTRY DETAILS

TICKET NAME MATCHES

The name of the ticket must exactly match the attendee’s photo ID. These details need to be accurate to ensure entry is granted and if there are errors, you will be required to purchase a Name Change for the ticket and any discrepancies may result in cancellation of the ticket without refund.

PHOTO ID

Acceptable forms of ID are: Australian Drivers Licenses, WA Proof of Age Card, WA Photo Card, WA Learners Permit and Passport. All of the above must be valid and within date, originals and not copy’s or scanned versions. If you do not have any of these forms of ID, it’s recommended you bring as much support photo ID as possible, yet entry will be at security’s discretion on the day.

AGE

Origin NYE 2017 is strictly a 18+ event. Entry to the venue is by valid photo ID checked by security at the gate. Gates close before midnight, so if turn 18 on 01/01/2018 you will not be able to enter the festival. Underage patrons will not be granted entry by attending with a guardian.

BRING YOUR TICKET

We recommend bringing a printed copy of your Ticketbooth e-ticket to be scanned at entry. While most times your ticket can be scanned from your phone, there can sometimes be issues from screens. Be prepared avoid disappointment – bring your printed copy

CREDIT CARD + PAYMENT

You may be asked to show the credit card you purchased your ticket with. If you cannot, we recommend bringing along as much supporting I.D. as possible. There will be ATMs and some EFTPOS facilities in parts of the festival grounds, yet we recommend bringing cash with you.
